About the Coach

“You can belong, before you believe.”

More than a coach.

I started Lions from the Lamb because I believe sports can shape a child’s character, not just their skills — and I’ve lived both sides of that truth. I grew up competing at everything, and for a long time sports were my entire identity. But after losing my father young and walking through real hardship as a teenager, I learned that what a kid most needs from sports isn’t a trophy. It’s a place to be seen, pushed, and encouraged by adults who genuinely care about them. That’s the environment I’m committed to building for your child.

I don’t come at this as an outsider to kids. My wife and I have been foster parents since 2017, and we have three young children with twins on the way. From 2020 to 2023 I served on staff in the elementary room at Ocean Church in Cape Coral, helping with childcare and Sunday-school services. Caring for children — patiently, safely, and with high expectations — is the work of my life.

Here, every child is coached to work hard, play with integrity, and treat teammates and opponents with respect. Faith is part of who we are, and we hold it with an open hand. Our guiding belief is that you can belong before you believe. Your child doesn’t have to earn their place with us — they already have one.
